Pics n’ Pints

Join us for Pics n’ Pints, a Pubcrawl with a difference! We will be completing fun photo challenges in the hidden pubs of Dublin with our disposable cameras! It’s a great way for our newbies and oldies to mix and mingle and have a bitta craic.

Don’t have a date for Valentine’s day? This Valentine’s day no need to be a selfie taking singleton. Come to Grattan hall where you will find yourself a portrait taking date at our fun night of speed dating! Capture your love at first click!

Basics and Beyond workshop

Turner Building, rm 107,16.02.19,12-2pm.

This is a perfect introduction class to photography where you will learn how to take the perfect snap! In this workshop we will walk through the different styles of photographs, and learning the mechanics and effects of using exposure (shutter speed, ISO, and aperture) .

Don’t worry if you don’t have a camera-find out about renting one here.

It’s a Wrap!-End of Term Exhibition

WALL studio space, 01.03.19, 7.30pm

Don’t miss out on the biggest night of the Photo Society!

It’s our end of term exhibition, not only will we be exhibiting the photographs selected to be part of our prestigious end of year album, but also will have a mystery guest speaker. There will be tunes and drinks and one of the photograph submissions will be chosen as The Photograph of the Year by our guest speaker!

Tickets are on sale every Wednesday in the Turner Building, from 5-6pm and for only €10.

The Submission Deadline is at 5pm on the 22.02.19.

We are so excited to announce that we are now accepting entries for our end of term exhibition! So please start submitting!!

This years theme is….. (drum roll please)...DISRUPTION!

This year we are looking at Disruption in its broadest sense, from roadworks to mass migration. We are so excited to see how you interpret the theme!

Submission Details:

You can submit up to 6 images.

Please submit as a JPEG or PNG only

Please include your name and captions for each photograph!
